Service Administrator

Thompson Construction Group is looking for a customer-focused Service Administrator to support operations at our Spruce Grove facility. This position supports communications between cross-functional departments, presenting a positive organizational image.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Deliver optimal customer service that fosters positive relationships
  • Assist with delivering fleet maintenance initiatives
  • Administer work orders in B2W Maintain
  • Accurately enter and track work orders and equipment in databases
  • Ensure timely closure of work orders
  • Organize, maintain, and update document and electronic filing systems; retrieve and systemize information
  • Provide administrative support to management and Master Mechanic
  • Prepare for meetings and produce meeting documents as needed
  • Demonstrate professionalism and friendly demeanor while answering incoming telephone calls and redirect calls appropriately
  • Perform timekeeping and payroll duties for maintenance facility staff
  • Establish an organized, professional, and friendly atmosphere for staff
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor


  • Post-secondary education and/or High School Diploma with progressive relative experience
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment machinery and parts would be considered an asset
  • A minimum of 5 years of related service and administrative experience
  • Ability to logically problem solve and troubleshoot and provide efficient solutions
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, B2W Maintain, Explorer Contract Manager
  • Strong organizational and time management skills while demonstrating capability to meet tight and conflicting priorities
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and positively collaborate with various levels of management
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment
  • Some occasional travel may be required
